Our story
The real Keys, not the crowded one.
Mangrove Monkey Charters started with a simple frustration: most visitors come all the way to the Florida Keys and only ever see a parking lot, a busy bar and a line for a boat ride. Meanwhile, ten minutes from our dock in Big Pine Key, there's glassy water, empty sandbars and mangrove creeks that look exactly like they did a hundred years ago.
We grew up running this backcountry, so we know which channels open at which tide and where the water turns swimming-pool blue by noon. Safe boating comes first — USCG licensed, fully insured, and honest with you about the weather. After that, it's just a relaxed day with no schedule to keep.
We're not here to rush you from stop to stop. We're here to help you make memories you still talk about next winter.
